Conclusion to Make: Day

Make: Day was on Saturday. What a crazy event. The event ran from 10-3 and there were several thousand people pouring through the doors. There was a wide range of audience and the fellow presenters/makers were very inspiring and showing a lot of interest in everyone’s work. There was a sense of community that was real nice.
The event was not strictly for technology-based projects, the booth next to me was demonstrating homemade instruments built from materials like PVC pipe and I swear I saw an egg beater. Those that were technology-based were largely on the hardware side of things, which was exciting for me. The Twin Cities Maker group seemed interesting, I think I could learn a lot from some of them. Similarly, there were only a few representing the software-side so I felt like I had something to contribute as well. Overall it was a bit draining, but lots of fun and tons of people; I can’t wait for next year.
